The Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has totally approved 12 new pesticide projects of manufacturing active ingredients in 2012 less than 2011 with 19 approved. There are 5 new projects located in Jiangsu province, which is the largest province to produce pesticides in China. There are equally 3 fungicides, 3 herbicides and 3 insecticides and 2 biopesticides, 1 plant growth regulator.
The approved products need to get the Chinese Institute for the Control of Agrochemicals of Ministry of Agriculture (ICAMA) registration certificates and production licenses within 3 years after getting above mentioned manufacturing approvals, and then enter into market legally.
