China pesticide sales up 23% in eleven months of 2012

According to the statistics of China National Bureau of Statistics, total 804 Chinese pesticide enterprises above designated size whose data were collated realized a total industrial output value of Yuan 23.1 billion in November 2012, with an increase of 27.5% on the same period last year. Sales of pesticides grew by 26.9% to Yuan 22.3 billion. Among them, output value and sales growth of biopesticides both exceeded 40%.

In the first eleven months, accumulative total industrial output value of pesticide rose by 23.3% to Yuan 219.4 billion, and sales of pesticides increased by 22.6% to Yuan 212.7 billion. Due to higher domestic demand, fast growing market overseas and higher price, the profit of pesticide industry rose by 33.9% to Yuan 11.7 billion in the first ten months. The industry loss fell by 5.2% to Yuan 650 million, which showed the better performance this year.
