South Korean biopesticide company expanding to Turkey

When ECOWIN’s CEO, Mr. Kyung Bon Koo, was invited by the authorities of Malatya city to visit Turkish land, he envisioned an important market for developing agricultural organic biopesticides in Turkey. Once visiting and evaluating the situation, both CEO and Turkish business men reached an agreement with the local company Fipa Ekolojik Ltd., and with the presence of Malatya’s governor, Mr. Ulvi Saran. After the ceremony the CEO of ECOWIN expressed “We have reached an agreement for distribution of Ecowin’s organic biopesticide products in Turkey and we are looking forward to strengthen our business relationship with Turkey, which has a very important agricultural market. We have also signed an MOU for investing in Malatya with establishment of a production facility in the near future.”
Under the deal ECOWIN will provide organic pesticide technologies to Fipa Ekolojik Ltd. which will open up a crucial channel to the regional market. The joint venture will manufacture eco-friendly biopesticides based on ECOWIN’s core technologies. The joint venture will also provide a key regional distribution channel to other markets in Africa, Middles and Valcan countries.
Korean company ECOWIN, founded in 2008, has been snapping up a host of awards in Korea while expanding its export channels to about 30 countries. Especially this past year ECOWIN received excellent award in ASPA (Asian Science Park Association) conference 2011. Out of 85 nominated companies from each Science Park Centers in Asia, ECOWIN was selected by ASPA organization committees as one of top 4 new venture companies of 2011 in the whole Asian region.
