Syngenta Canada Inc. is pleased to announce that the Agrisure® 3122 E-Z Refuge™ trait stack is now approved for use in Canada. This new combination includes excellent pest management, together with a five percent blended refuge in the bag for convenience, ease-of-use and regulatory compliance.
"The approval of Agrisure 3122 E-Z Refuge trait stack is exciting news for corn growers in Canada,” says Greg Good, Campaign Lead, Corn and Soybean with Syngenta Canada. "Our customers will not only enjoy more options in broader insect control for some of the most problematic pests in corn, they will also be employing good stewardship practices on their farm.”
Each bag will contain 95 percent of an elite glyphosate-tolerant corn hybrid with the Agrisure 3122 trait stack, which features dual modes of action against European corn borer and corn rootworm, plus a single mode of action for multiple broad lepidopteran species including Western bean and black cutworm. The remaining five percent of the seed will be a refuge hybrid also with built-in glyphosate tolerance.
"For growers ordering this fall, the Agrisure 3122 E-Z Refuge trait stack will be available in two of the strongest performing Syngenta corn hybrids – N68B and N53W,” adds Good. “With their proven track record, these genetics are trusted by growers to deliver consistent top-end yields. We’re pleased to offer our customers these elite hybrids with the simplicity and convenience of an E-Z Refuge format.”
These new corn hybrids will be available in limited quantities for the 2013 growing season. Growers should contact their Syngenta retailer for more detailed information on these and other Syngenta seed products including a full line-up of Genuity® Roundup Ready 2 Yield® and conventional IP soybeans.
