Pest Business and the Sub-Council of the Chemical Industry of CCPIT (China Council for the Promotion of International Trade) have announced the third annual Beyond-Agriculture seminar to be held as part of the CAC Agrochem Show at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre on Tuesday 26th February 2013 in Pudong, Shanghai, China.
The programme has once again been developed to assist both Chinese and International companies to understand the fast emerging markets Beyond-Agriculture now worth over US$20 billion. These include Pest Control, Turf and Ornamentals, Timber and Material treatment and Consumer markets. These markets present high value markets for insecticides, fungicides and herbicides.

The presentations, all managed through simultaneous Mandarin/English translation, bring together a unique mix of global and national experts to share their views and data on these exciting markets. The seminar will be chaired by Rob Fryatt of Xenex Associates who will add his own experience to each of the key topics. Both morning and afternoon sessions will conclude with a panel discussion and there will be an opportunity to speak to any of the presenters one to one during the day.
The three themes for the seminar are:
• The major chemical active ingredients used in Beyond-Agriculture markets. This will include a profile of the territories, market sectors and future potential.
• How to build a business in Beyond-Agriculture markets with speakers from around the world sharing the secrets of their success.
• Profiles of the key market sectors of Turf & Ornamentals and Termite Control. Between these markets are profiled major opportunities for herbicides, insecticides and fungicides, where many high value specialist formulations are used.
