Ceradis and GTM (Grupo Transmerquim) announced the signing of an exclusive distribution agreement on the unique and patented specialty banana fertilizer MusaCare® for Costa Rica, Colombia, Ecuador, Honduras, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Panama and Nicargua. GTM will market and distribute the MusaCare® product, which has been developed by Ceradis.
"The signing of the exclusive distribution agreement on MusaCare® is the start of a new partnership to bring Ceradis technology to Latin America” said Wim van der Krieken, CEO of Ceradis. “GTM is perfectly positioned to distribute MusaCare® with their offices and operations in 13 countries in Latin America.”

"MusaCare® will allow us to offer the banana markets a key addition in their integrated disease and nutrition management programs and support the banana industry to become more sustainable.”
MusaCare® is a new and innovative specialty fertilizer that provides essential nutrient elements such as Potassium and Phosphor to banana. At the same time MusaCare® stimulates the natural plant defense against a large number diseases. Due to the mineral and organic nature of MusaCare®, the product is safe for user and environment and does not have residue restrictions, pre-harvest or re-entry limitations. MusaCare® is now part of the extensive portfolio of agricultural products for the GTM’s Agro & Feed Business Division. MusaCare® is currently registered in Costa Rica, Guatemala and Colombia (AgroNews 2012-05-10). Ceradis and GTM plans to extend the registration and distribution to Ecuador, Honduras and the rest of banana producing countries in Latin America.
