Executive management changes at Nufarm
Date:01-30-2012
Nufarm Limited announced that several important changes are being made at the executive level of the company.
Bob Ooms (Group Executive, Industrial Chemicals) will step down from his role and leave the company at the end of February. Bob, who joined Nufarm in 1999, has held executive responsibilities for Nufarm's industrial chemicals businesses and – more recently - global supply chain.
Dale Mellody (currently Group Executive, Global Marketing) will move into a new executive role that encompasses global supply chain and strategic procurement. Dale brings considerable commercial experience to this new role and will ensure a strong focus is maintained on driving further efficiencies in these areas and that they support the strategic growth plans of the business.
Greg Hunt has been appointed Group Executive, Global Marketing and Business Development. Greg, who will commence with the company on February 6, brings considerable executive and agribusiness experience to Nufarm. During a long and successful career at diversified agribusiness group Elders Australia Limited, Greg held a number of management positions focused on both the Australian and international operations of the company. Appointed Managing Director in 2001, Greg held that position until 2007, leading the company's operations across a broad range of activity, including rural merchandising and product distribution. After leaving Elders, Greg worked with a number of organisations in business development and agribusiness related investment advisory roles and has assisted companies including Tandou Ltd, Plum Grove Pty Ltd and Biocentral laboratories Ltd.
Nufarm Managing Director, Doug Rathbone, said the changes to the executive team will strengthen the depth of management; bring fresh perspective and additional experience to the company's leadership group; and will more closely align the executive structure with key strategic and business priorities.
