China’s Migao provides update on specialty fertilizer
Date:01-04-2012
Migao Corporation, which is a leading producer of specialty potash fertilizers is trying to bring its new production plants to full capacity, according to the company, to meet anticipated strong demand in early 2012. The core speciality fertilizers are potassium sulphate (SOP) and potassium nitrate (NOP).
Migao Corporation, through its wholly owned subsidiaries, owns and operates fertilizer production plants in various strategic locations across China for the production and sale of SOP and NOP and specialty compound fertilizers for China's agricultural market, with little if any product going elsewhere in the world. There are a total of seven operating facilities.
Considerably more production capacity is coming on line during 2012, reports the company. The company mentioned a 40,000 tonne expansion at Changchun nearing completion; Shanghai Migao is waiting for the final permit to allow production to begin (no capacity mentioned). Zunyi Migao’s “compound facility” has been upgraded to 100,000 tonnes and will be in operation following mechanical testing.
