Recently, Hailir held its investor relation conference, during which Hailir’s senior management answered in detail the questions related to the company’s core competence, overseas business development, prothioconazole product development, progress of research and development of innovative compounds.
Pesticide and fertilizer sales
In the first three quarters, Hailir’s production and sales of pesticides and fertilizers continued to grow, among which sales of pesticide increased by 2% and fertilizer increased by 60.87%. As affected by the market situation, the average selling prices decreased, among which selling prices of pesticides decreased by 15.63% and fertilizers decreased by 20.84%; pesticide revenue decreased by 13.95% year on year while fertilizer revenue increased by 27.35%.
Core competence and development strategy
Hailir lays stress on its advantageous business integration of pesticide formulation, active ingredient and intermediate, having demonstrated outstanding capabilities in R&D, engineering, production and marketing. The company possesses a wide range of formulation products, being active in creation and promotion of strategic formulations to meet the market demand and provide farmers with a full range of pests, diseases and weeds control solutions. The company’s technical and intermediate capacity is concentrated on insecticides and fungicides, among which several technical materials including prothioconazole take an important position within the industry. The company’s strong R&D strength, complete product structure and continuous innovation capability are important drivers to the company’s continued growth.

Prothioconazole product development
As a novel broad-spectrum triazolethione fungicide, prothioconazole sees a promising market. Hailir’s designed capacity of prothioconazole has reached annually 5,000 tons, which is expected to arrive at 15,000 tons and become one of the company’s dominant products, contributing to enhancement of Hailir’s market competitiveness and profitability.
Progress in research and development of innovative compounds
Hailir has been granted 6 herbicidal compound patents and 14 insecticidal compound patents; 20-plus highly active compounds are being tested via indoor bioassay; 8 highly active compounds are undergoing field evaluation; and 4 are in the process of registration.
Progress of registration of novel compounds
At present, the registration of the created compound fluchlordiniliprole is being processed simultaneously at home and abroad while marketing in South America and Southeast Asia is being deployed. It is expected that a variety of innovative compounds including fluchlordiniliprole and 氟螨硫醚 will be released to market in 2025, 2026 and 2027.
Hengning Project
At present, the Phase I of Hengning Project is gradually ramping up to the designed load of production while some products of the Phase II of Hengning Project such as the technical material tolfenpyrad and the intermediates 2-chloroacrylonitrile and chlorophenylglycine have been put into trial production. The completion of the project and start of production will further enrich Hailir’s technical product portfolio, thus further enhancing the company’s advantageous technical-formulation integration and domestic-overseas market integration.
