BASF ups ethylamine, methylamine prices in Europe

With immediate effect or as existing contracts permit, BASF is increasing its European sales prices for ethylamines and methylamines as follows:

Monoethylamine (MEA 70%)	+70 €/t
Diethylamine (DEA)	+120 €/t
Triethylamine (TEA)	+130 €/t
Monomethylamine (MMA)	+40 €/t
Dimethylamine (DMA)	+60 €/t
Trimethylamine (TMA)	+70 €/t

Ethylamines are the starting materials for the production of various intermediates that are used for example in the agrochemical, pharmaceutical, rubber and coatings industries. Methylamines are versatile chemical intermediates with a wide range of applications, such as agrochemicals, water treatment and personal care. They also prove valuable in the production of feed additives and organic solvents. BASF produces the mentioned amines at its sites in Ludwigshafen (Germany), Antwerp (Belgium), Geismar (Louisiana, USA), Nanjing (China).
