Belchim Crop Protection USA and Sipcam Agro USA, Inc. have announced a partnership that will enable Belchim USA to exclusively market and sell Minerva Fungicide, a demonstrated superior choice for excellent control of Cercospora leaf spot (CLS), powdery mildew and Ramularia on sugar beets.
Sugar beet growers know the foundational treatment in a successful CLS program is crucial to the prevention and control of the disease. Minerva Fungicide is the preferred choice for the first application to get a CLS program off to a strong start due to its highly effective systemic activity to protect existing and future developing leaves.
″Minerva has been long recognized as the standard for CLS control in sugar beets and offers an economical cost per acre that allows sugar beet growers the opportunity to protect their investment and maximize ROI,″ said Brent Marek, CEO and COO of Sipcam Agro. ″Belchim has an excellent record of providing quality agricultural products to growers and distributors and we see more product sharing to come.″
Belchim is equally enthusiastic regarding the implications of this agreement. ″This license from Sipcam Agro will increase the potential for Minerva Fungicide, facilitating the optimization of grower use for this important fungicide for sugar beet growers in the United States,″ said Tom Wood, President and General Manager of Belchim USA. Minerva is the second product in the last two years Belchim USA has added to its sugarbeet portfolio having achieved a 24C in ND and MN with Spin-Aid herbicide acquired from Bayer. ″We also look forward to more opportunities with Sipcam Agro in the coming years.″
Minerva Fungicide is registered for use in the following states: CA, CO, IA, ID, IL, IN, KS, MI, MN, MT, ND, NE, OH, OR, SD, UT, WA, WI and WY.
