On January 16, Syngenta Crop Protection held a product launch event in Nanjing China, where the company announced launch of cyclobutrifluram and cyproflanilide, which are the latest products of the company.
After 16 years of research and development, Syngenta is now launching a patented brand-new compound - TYMIRIUM® technology (Cyclobutrifluram 450g/L SC). Its key ingredient cyclobutrifluram is the world’s first targeted pesticidal compound developed using the ″structure-based pesticide design technique.″ TYMIRIUM® technology enables a current-date application, with high activity, low amount of use, excellent and long-lasting effect against root-knot nematodes.
Syngenta’s new launch of its patented seed coating agent Shiyi is of dual action mode, which is used as rice seed coat for control of rice bakanae disease, rice damping off and rice seedling rot as well as being used for resistance management. It is highly safe for crops and can completely kill Fusarium fujikuroi, being also effective in control of seed-borne and soil-borne diseases caused by various fusarium.
Root Eco is a new brand of Syngenta’s advanced rhizosphere management system, which uses chemicals, biological germs and nutritional agents to regulate and optimize the root system to tackle the issues of successive cropping obstacle, soil-borne disease and root-knot nematode damage caused by successive cropping. Daibolu (10 billion/ml bacillus amyloliquefaciens) included in the Root Eco program is the first biological germicide launched by Syngenta, which, under the microscope, shows higher germ count and higher activity than the control group, being quickly activated in the soil once applied to the soil.
In addition, Syngenta presented its upcoming insecticide Cyproflanilide 20% SC, which is of both stomach toxicity and contact toxicity, with a broad insecticidal spectrum, fast-acting and long-lasting effect.
Cyproflanilide is the first proprietary compound created and owned by CAC International. The product has an excellent effect of control of rice-stem borer and rice leaf roller, being also effective against diamondback moth, beet armyworm, flea beetle and thrips while being used to control resistant insect pests on vegetables and fruit trees. So far, the registration of Bond (Cyproflanilide 10% DC) in China is being processed with substantial progress, which is expected to be officially released to market in 2024. According to available information, on July 25, 2022, CAC International executed the ″Strategic Cooperation Agreement in Distribution of Cyproflanilide″ with Syngenta Crop Protection, aiming to use cyproflanilide as the entry point to firstly cooperate in the commercialization of cyproflanilide, then moving towards more joint product development.
