One of the significant attractions of Expo Agrodinámica 2023 in Paraguay was the NemaControl mobile nematode laboratory.
AgroPages was present at the Brazilian company's pavilion and saw the news: A real-time microscopic analysis of nematodes in soybean roots.
Engineer Cristina Garay, commercial representative of Simbiose Paraguay in the area of Cooperativa Colonias Unidas (organizer of the event), explained that this was the second consecutive year they were present at Expo Agrodinámica 2023. This year, the highlight was the NemaControl program, which identified nematodes in the plots.
″Nematodes are invisible enemies of plants, as they are microscopic beings the naked eye cannot see. They preferentially attack the root system of plants,″ Simbiose explained.
Garay explained that the NemaControl program aimed to bring quality technical information to the producer through a fully equipped mobile laboratory, where sampling, processing, and immediate identification of this serious problem were carried out. Professionals go to cooperatives or the producer's farm. ″We extract the samples and analyze them immediately. This process is quick; in less than 10 minutes, the producer already has the result in hand,″ engineer Garay explained.
According to the manufacturer, biotechnology had become the ″main alternative solution to several problems in the area. Simbiose Paraguai stands out in this segment, offering guaranteed results demonstrated at Expo Agrodinámica 2023.″
In addition to Nemacontrol, Simbiose Paraguai has a broad portfolio in the biological segment that includes seed treatments, fungicides, and inoculants, among others. In the foliar application segment, they have insecticides and fungicides.
″Simbiose Paraguay is closely monitoring producers. Developers and commercial agents work together to guarantee excellent results for the producer through integrated management,″ Garay added.
Another Simbiose alternative is Fly Control, a high-performance microbiological insecticide registered for difficult-to-control pests, such as corn leafhoppers and stink bugs. It has an exclusive and innovative active ingredient, Simb BB 15, which is highly concentrated and formulated in oil (OD), three factors that guarantee better control of these pests in soybeans and corn.
Other highlights of Fly Control were its differentiated useful life and the possibility of storage without refrigeration, allowing it to be kept under regular conditions.
