The US EPA yesterday issued a list of pesticides and chemicals been granted emergency exemptions to State and Federal agencies for controls of unforeseen pest outbreaks.
Under the law, EPA may grant pesticide use for some unauthorized pesticides and chemicals when emergency conditions exist. The emergency exemptions are granted to State and federal agencies in four types: specific exemption, crisis exemption, quarantine exemption and Public Health exemption.
Pesticides and chemicals listed for exemptions are: hop beta acids, chlorophene, boscalid, pyraclostrobin, mancozeb, naphthaleneacetic acid-ester, propiconazole, fenpyroximate, abamectin, sprirotetramat , anthraquinone , dinotefuran, fludioxonil, cyazofamid, dinotefuran, quinclorac , kasugamycin, bifenazate, fenoxaprop-p-ethyl, bifenthrin, fipronil, potassium chloride, lambda-cyhalothrin, linuron, pyrethrin, diflubenzuron, paraformaldehyde, bacillus thuringiensis, diazinon, pseudomonas fluorescens, ortho-phthalaldehyde.
