From November 19 to 21, 2023, the 37th Plant Protection Information Exchange & Pesticide and Sprayer Facilities Fair was held in Changsha, Hunan Province in China.
During the fair, Bayer CropScience participated in a series of meetings and presented a number of new products and concepts in the field of crop protection, which aim to serve growers and crop protection practitioners based on Bayer’s innovative and cutting-edge technological achievements, highlighting the company’s continued and firm support for the sustainable and high-quality development of Chinese agriculture.
Bayer CropScience also introduced its novel nematicide, Baixianwei, which is an effective tool for the prevention and control of hidden and subtle nematodes.
As a nematicide with a novel mode of action, Baixianwei is effective in controlling common botanic nematodes at low doses while being safe for humans and the environment, therefore, setting a new standard for the international soil nematicide market.
In addition to Baixianwei, Bayer CropScience also presented the classic herbicide, Roundup, which has been used for many years to meet the different needs of users, coupled with Bayer’s constant release of new crop protection products. The product has continuously generated green and efficient value, through combining traditional methods with innovation.
As well as presenting its effective and robust products, Bayer CropScience shared the outcomes of its innovation of agricultural service model. Based on farmers’ needs, a one-stop aerial application service model was developed by Bayer, supported by the resources of all industry players, having achieved the complete chain traceability of purchase orders using digital tools, to provide farmers with a professional, standardized and digital one-stop aerial application-oriented service, which establishes a win-win aerial application ecosystem. Currently, the innovative service has been provided by more than 900 registered pilots covering an operating area of 870,000 mu (1 mu = 1/15 ha) across 35 cities and counties.
During the event, Bayer CropScience has actively participated in a series of industry meetings, introducing Bayer’s future cropping system, Regenerative Agriculture, and showcasing the latest advancements in regenerative agriculture around the world, as well as related local practices, such as Bayer Forward Farming and the company’s food value chain program.
