The Brazilian company, Wolf Sementes, launched its Grafitek technology at Coopercitrus Expo 2023, with the aim of improving planting performance and protecting crops against nematodes.
Whether in terms of soybean or corn crops, rural producers who have adopted the practice of direct planting will obtain even more expressive gains if they invest in the production of straw with the graphite seeds of Brachiaria ruziziensis.
This is the benefit of Grafitek, which is a seed treatment technology (TS) with graphite, the manufacturer told AgroPages.
According to Edson de Castro Júnior, Wolf's technical coordinator, it is possible to obtain savings of up to US$300 per hectare, due to the reduction of inputs and soil management when using graffitied Brachiaria ruziziensis seeds for straw production.
Under direct planting, soil with straw produces 30% more compared to the conventional system that does not use straw. Such results are supported by technical studies, de Castro Júnior added, noting that the treatment of seeds with graphite does not use polymers and only use 100% natural materials.
″Industrial Seed Treatment with Grafitek technology includes, in its quality control, the guarantee of being nematode free,″ he said in conclusion.
