Sumitomo Chemical announced the launch of the insecticide, Decision (acetamiprid + fenpropathrin), during the Tecnoshow Comigo 2023 fair, which was specially covered by AgroPages in Brazil.
The pesticide offers a wide spectrum of action on soybean, corn and cotton, among other crops, and its application during flowering is differential.
″When producers are promoted to protagonists of an agribusiness, what makes them stand out is the fact that they are decision-makers, the ones who define the next step towards a profitable crop. To help farmers through this challenge, we launched the insecticide, Decision,″ Sumitomo said.
Suellen Drumond (Sumitomo Chemical's Insecticide Manager) said that Decision's focus is on sucking insects, and as it can be applied during the flowering of crops without affecting pollinating insects, such as bees, Decision will become key in integrated pest management (IPM).
″Sumitomo Chemical has a robust portfolio. It has Legion, another insecticide for controlling suckers, and it has now complemented its solutions for these pests by introducing Decision,″ she added.
Producers will now have ″two options that guarantee high shock and residual power when controlling soybean and corn bugs, the corn leafhopper and the cotton weevil,″ she further added.
Drumond then affirmed the importance of the producer, both men and women, as protagonists for high-productivity crops.
″Farmers can count on an excellent, broad-spectrum product that will protect their crops and, consequently, their investment. Decision will exceed producers’ expectations,″ she said in conclusion.
