Red Sun recently answered questions, via the investor platform, on its diquat dichloride and chlorantraniliprole project progress.
Q: How is registration of diquat dichloride progressing? In how many countries have registrations been filed? Which countries have granted approval?
Red Sun: The overseas registration of diquat dichloride is progressing in an orderly manner. So far, we have submitted registration applications to Brazil, Vietnam, Myanmar, Australia and Paraguay, among which the registration in Paraguay has been completed, whilst in other countries it is being processed speedily.
Q: What is the competitive advantage and progress of your chlorantraniliprole project?
Red Sun: In the chlorantraniliprole industry chain, we have three major advantages, which include raw material advantage (K acid, namely 2,3-dichloropyridine), technical advantage (new process, low cost, energy saving and environmental benefit) and registration certification (registration certificate of technical granted in China). At present, Chongqing Huage Biochemical Co., Ltd, Red Sun’s wholly-owned subsidiary, is building a new plant with annual output of 2,000 tons of chlorantraniliprole, where the construction work has been progressing smoothly. It is expected to be completed and put into operation in the first half of this year.
