Canola and soybean growers will have a new fungicide option to help protect their crops from sclerotinia and white mould.
Corteva Agriscience has launched Viatude, a fungicide that offers multiple modes of action for resistance management. It also contains a unique combination of two highly effective ingredients, including Corteva’s proprietary active, Onmira, the company says. The two active ingredients on the label are picoxystrobin and prothioconazole — Group 11 and Group 3 fungicides.
″Sclerotinia and white mould have the potential to significantly impact yield in both canola and soybeans,″ says Kirsten Ratzlaff, portfolio marketing manager for Corteva Agriscience. ″That is why we are pleased to offer Viatude fungicide, a new crop protection tool that will provide best-in-class protection to help prevent yield loss and protect profitability.″
The company says the combination of active ingredients paired with the all-in-one premix formulation results in superior protection for the integrity of the crop and the farmer’s bottom line.
Viatude is available for ground and aerial application on canola and soybeans for the 2023 growing season.
