Armada fungicide was recently changed from a wettable powder in a water soluable packaging to a water dispersible granule, announced Environmental Science, a business unit of Bayer CropScience LP. Armada 50 WDG, formulated specifically for lawn care operators, provides disease control for turfgrass and landscape ornamentals, as well as certain plant health benefits.
"Armada has long been an effective tool for preventive and curative disease control,” said Jimmy Johnson, fungicide product manager for Environmental Science. “With the new water dispersible granules, Armada is now easy to measure and use in a backpack application or large mixing tank making it an excellent choice for today’s lawn and landscape professional and is prescribed for turfgrass at a new higher rate of 1.5 oz per 1000 ft.”
Armada 50 WDG, which contains the active ingredients Triadimefon and Trifloxystrobin, provides a broad spectrum of activity against most turf and ornamental diseases of concern in northern and southern climates. With its dual mode of action, Armada combines the power of systemic and local penetrant fungicides for twice the disease-fighting power. It controls turf diseases such as brown patch and dollar spot for up to 28 days as well as the control of summer patch and more. When used in ornamental landscapes this powerhouse of a fungicide controls diseases such as black spot, leaf spot, rust and scab.
Armada 50 WDG fungicide not only controls turfgrass and ornamental diseases, but it’s also labeled for plant health benefits after sod laying that enhances leaf greenness and density in warm season turfgrass.
