The agricultural inputs distribution market reached a turnover of R$112.6 billion in 2021, according to the 7th National Distribution Survey presented at the Andav 2022 Congress, which has special coverage by AgroPages.
Organized by Markestrat, the survey showed that inputs represented R$77.5 billion, while the commercialization of grains totaled R$35.1 billion.
The amount refers to the members of the National Association of Agricultural and Veterinary Input Distributors (Andav), which represent 70% of the total market for the distribution of agricultural inputs in Brazil.
″Research is the main work material for us to design the service strategy for our associates and to make the relationship with the respective suppliers and rural producers,″ said the Executive President of Andav, Paulo Tibúrcio.

In the area of inputs, the crop that was most in demand was soybean (51.9%), followed by second-crop corn, known in Brazil as ″Safrinha″ (18.4%).
Regarding points of sale, the sector is expected to open 1,038 new stores in the next three years, a growth of 32.9% in relation to the expectation of the 2021 survey.
According to Tiburcio, this number can be reached as 292 stores were opened in 2021 alone.
Regarding the profile of Andav's associates, 52.2% have corporate management against 47.8% family management. An average of 15% of companies in this sector underwent mergers and acquisitions.
GOOD AEROAGRICULTURAL PRACTICES
Andav and the National Union of Agricultural Aviation Companies (Sindag) signed a cooperation agreement during the Congress to encourage good agricultural practices.
The initiative will be promoted through educational materials, training and information dissemination.
For the Operational Director of Sindag, Claudio Junior Oliveira, the cooperation agreement strengthens agribusiness, as the aero-agricultural sector faces challenges – mainly on the regulatory issue.
