One of the incredible novelties of the ANDAV 2022 Congress, which takes place this week in the Brazilian city of São Paulo with coverage by AgroPages, is the use of Big Data, CRM, and analytics with a focus on the precision use of inputs.
The intelligent management of crop information is the focus of agtech Sima Analytics – Agricultural Monitoring System, which presents its solutions at the event that help decision-making based on data collected in real-time.
The new tool is structured into four modules: The first is agronomic data management. ″With it, it is possible to understand the adversities that are affecting each region and guide decision-making,″ Sima said.
The second pillar is the management of people and activities, that is, the exact indication of where the field team is and the activities being carried out.
The third solution is planting and harvesting management, where it can follow the evolution and access product data.
The final stage is pesticide application management: The tool gathers all applications registered by-products, the active ingredient, mixture, and dosage. In addition, all adversities encountered are recorded.
According to the startup entrepreneurs, Sima's solutions work in a ″very simple way, both for companies in the agricultural sector and rural producers.″
″Through our application, the field team has full control of the protocols that must be executed in the visits, can take images, record audios or offline notes to generate tables, graphs, interactive maps, and share reports. In addition, all information is stored and available for consultation at any time and place,″ emphasized Rafael Malacco, Sima's Business Development Manager, in Brazil.
One of the tool's differentials is the possibility of accessing NDVI images, an acronym for Normalized Difference Vegetation Index. With this type of image, it is possible to analyze the actual condition of a crop or an experimental area.
Also used in side-by-side areas and demand generation programs, the Sima system also provides for the construction of a database. ″With the platform, information is managed and unified in a single place, in addition to building and maintaining the harvest history to monitor what has already happened,″ the executive emphasized.
The ANDAV Congress is the main meeting point for professionals working in the agricultural input distribution sector in Brazil, bringing together more than 90 brands.
Organized by the National Association of Agricultural and Veterinary Input Distributors (ANDAV), the congress welcomes more than five thousand professionals, including speakers, exhibitors, congressmen, and visitors during the event’s three days.
