FMC took advantage of the large audience at the 21st edition of Herbishow to launch Boral Full, a herbicide to control weeds in sugarcane.
The technology unites two molecules: Sulfentrazone + Tebutiuron and offers a new formulation to control broad and narrow leaf weeds.
After two years in an online format, Grupo Idea resumed the face-to-face edition of Herbishow – Seminar on Sugarcane Weed Control this year. The organizers of the event, held in the state of São Paulo, invited AgroPages to follow the main innovations and launches of technologies in agrochemicals.
“Boral Full is an evolution in the herbicide line, and it will be one of the biggest herbicides available to the market today. It is an innovative product as it has the association of two molecules in its composition, which provides the product with a broad spectrum in the control of weeds. It is a product that offers versatility at the time of application and has selectivity for the crop, optimizing the handling for the farmer,” emphasized Marcelo Magurno, Business Director for Brazil at FMC.

According to the manufacturer, Boral Full is a selective product that acts simultaneously in the area applied both in the control of broad-leaf weeds, such as Corda-de-viola (Ipomoea hederifolia) and in invasive plants with narrow leaves, such as Burr grass (Cenchrus echinatus) and Signal grass (Brachiaria decumbens).
“Boral Full is highly selective in its mode of action, which is the great differential concerning the herbicides available on the market. In addition, it is an extremely versatile product and can be applied during planting, loin break, dry ratoons, and wet ratoons,” explained Christian Menegatti, Sugarcane Crop Manager at FMC.

“FMC has always had a strong connection with the sugarcane culture. For more than a decade, the company has been a leader in the culture, delivering high-quality products and excellent performance. Therefore, when it comes to innovation, sugarcane needs to appear as a major protagonist in these movements. We want to be partners in the sector for efficient management,” Oliveira said in conclusion.
