The Annual World Bioprotection Summit & Awards is back, and this year’s event is ‘hybrid’, accommodating both in-person and virtual delegates from all over the world – register before 31st March 2022 for early-bird rates!
Registration is now open for this year’s Annual World Bioprotection Summit & Awards (AWBSA; formerly the BioPesticide Summit), which will take place this May in Birmingham, UK. Delegates should register before 31st March 2022 if they wish to take advantage of early-bird rates.

New this year is the option for virtual participation for those unable to attend the event in person. Virtual delegates will be able to view all presentations, and they will be able to participate via an interactive platform in the Q&A and panel discussion sessions. Virtual delegates will also have access to the networking platform, enabling them to connect with potential partners in biocontrol, and they will be able to watch the Awards ceremony live.
“We realised that having a hybrid event – allowing in-person and virtual participation – is vital in a post-COVID world, when international travel is still restricted,” said Dr Minshad Ansari, Chairman of the World BioProtection Forum. “People joining us virtually will have full access to the event programme and networking platform, and we will be streaming interviews with our exhibitors during the breaks, so virtual delegates won’t even miss out on meeting this year’s exhibitors!”
Once again, the AWBSA will bring together leading figures in the biocontrol industry, academia and the public sector, to share expert knowledge and address major challenges in sustainable pest and disease management. Highlights of this not-to-be-missed event include:
• Keynote presentations from leading experts in industry, academia and the public sector
• InvestorReady sessions, connecting you with potential business partners to help bring your products to market
• Awards and Gala dinner, bringing together collaborators to celebrate the brightest achievements in the sector
• Active networking opportunities, enabling you to expand your contacts within the industry.
About The World Bioprotection Forum (WBF)
The WBF is a non-profit organisation for encouraging collaboration across the biocontrol industry and academia. It was founded in 2019 to facilitate the successful development and commercialisation of novel biological control products for agricultural pests and diseases. By creating the connections that allow individuals and companies to take biological technologies forward, the WBF helps the sector to provide the solutions needed to fill the gaps left in the market by withdrawn toxic chemicals.
The Annual World BioProtection Summit & Awards (AWBSA) is the annual meeting of the WBF and its members. The event plays a key role in achieving the mission of the WBF, which is to bridge the gap between academia and industry and to ensure the successful development and commercialisation of bioprotection products.
