The global agrotechnical giant Syngenta Group recently executed an agreement with Xinwu District, Wuxi City, Jiangsu Province, to build a Future Farm. According to the plan, the total investment of the Future Farm Project is about RMB200 million, which is invested by Xinwu District Government and Wuxi Urban Development Group, to be operated by Syngenta Group China.
According to the business positioning of “new farming, new life, new model,” the Future Farm Project aims to build three functional facilities in Xinwu District, which cover respectively the modern agricultural Internet of Things demonstration base, the modern agricultural science and technology demonstration and promotion base, the teenager job education and research base, comprising digital plant factory, MAP beSide quality traceability farm, MAP demonstration farm, Syngenta modern agricultural science and technology experience center, outdoor science popularization area and leisure experience area.
The Future Farm Project will focus on industry demonstration, digital farming, Internet of Things and science popularization, which aim to change the traditional agricultural model while concentrating on the modern agricultural innovative demonstration and exploration of new approaches fit for the modern agricultural development model in Southern Jiangsu.
Moreover, the agricultural Internet of Things demonstration base, the modern agricultural science and technology demonstration and promotion base, the teenager job education and research base, will be open at a later date to primary and secondary schools in Wuxi, thus becoming a location of demonstration and serving as an off-campus farming culture classroom.
