The Argentine capital company Tecnomyl announced that it managed to consolidate its position in the phytosanitary product market in 2021, registering “exponential growth”.
According to the agrochemical company, this happened as it increased its technology and expanded its distribution capacity to reach more Argentine producers.
Commercial Manager at Tecnomyl, Gustavo Silva, reviewed the main achievements of recent months and reported the projections they have for 2022. In 2021, the company increased its turnover by 70% compared to the previous year.
“This sales growth turned into investments, not only in technology and in the expansion of the industrial park, but also excellent human resources,” the manager said. In this context, the company launched Red Austral, the first Premium distribution system this year, to reach all parts of the country promptly.
The company stated that it bet heavily on residual and high turnover insecticides, such as Benzomil Ema (emamectin benzoate 25% SL), Benzomil Plus (emamectin benzoate 10% + lufenuron 40% WG), and the fungicide Genesis Duo (azoxystrobin 20% + cyproconazole 8). %), for end-of-cycle diseases in soybean or corn rust.
HERBICIDES
According to Silva, today Tecnomyl is already “the absolute leader in the granulated Atrazine market, with our Atramyl 90 WG formula. It is the only one with toxicological class IV or green band, that is, maximum toxicological safety. In addition, we have consolidated ourselves in other products due to the certainty of supply, quality, and technology, as we are always looking for formulations with low environmental impact and high performance,”
The commercial manager also said that the company has consolidated its lines of non-selective herbicides, such as Helios Max, the only one in the Argentine market with 40% glufosinate-ammonium concentrate. Other selective ones are Todym 24 EC (clethodim 24% EC) and Haloxigen Max (haloxyfop 54% EC), and essential latifolicides for regional crops such as peanuts and beans. Then there are Gensafen (fomesafen 25% SL), Guerrer (sulfentrazone 50% SC) and Trench 84 WG (diclosulam 84% WG).
FUTURE
Tecnomyl's thinking today is to continue investing in technology for more concentrated products with less impact on the environment, expanding the plant's capacity to ensure greater supply, and incorporating qualified human resources. “All this so that the Argentine producer continues to consider us as an allied national company, which guarantees the supply of necessary inputs to produce quality products on time,” Silva said in conclusion.
