EPA approves supplemental label for Arysta’s EVITO Fungicide
Date:05-27-2011
EVITO® Fungicide (active ingredients: tebuconazole+
fluoxastrobin) from Arysta LifeScience North America received approval of a supplemental label by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency that allows EVITO to be applied using a low water volume of 2 gallons per acre. The supplemental label is especially beneficial to aerial applicators and is approved for aerial application on corn (field, sweet and hybrid seed corn), low growing berries, soybean, tuberous and corm vegetables and wheat.
"This latest approval provides aerial applicators the ability to treat more acres with less volume, which means less time on the ground reloading and more time protecting their customer’s crops,” says Brent Byers, Product Manager at Arysta LifeScience. “The already low-use rate of 2 ounces/acre, combined with the low water volume, continues to demonstrate how EVITO protects and improves crop quality while maximizing profit potential.”
EVITO also includes innovative Xylem Pro Technology™, which allows the fungicide to begin protecting the plant as soon as 15 minutes after treatment. EVITO’s performance in field trials over the last several years has shown a significant yield increase that growers expect from a premium strobilurin fungicide.
EVITO provides excellent control of common and southern rusts, anthracnose leaf blight, gray leaf spot, northern corn leaf blight and spot, southern corn leaf blight, eye spot, Rhizoctonia root and stalk rot, and southern blight in corn. In soy, EVITO controls Alternaria leaf spot, anthracnose, brown spot, Cercospora blight, frogeye leaf spot, pod and stem blight, Rhizoctonia aerial blight, rust, Rhizoctonia root and stalk rot and southern blight. EVITO also provides control of leaf, stripe, and stem rusts, Septoria leaf and glume blotch, tan spot and powdery mildew in wheat.
