We also look forward to increased budgets for better infrastructure for farming in all parts of the country."
He said that It is also critical that the input cost is reduced to whatever possible extent to support the farmers. "Industry looks forward to the government's support for research and make in India for the crop protection Industry. Better mechanism for the better prices of produce is another challenge that needs to be looked after," he said.
SK Chaudhary, founder director at Safex Chemicals felt that the agrochemical sector in the country is emerging as one of the champions that can become a major global supply hub if provided with better facilities.
"This has been facilitated due to disruption of supplies from China and everybody looking for a second source. The government should provide regulatory and tax concessions to catch hold of the opportunity. The Indian pesticides and fertilizers market can witness a significant boost in supply and development," Chaudhary said.
