The Argentine Federation of Agricultural Chambers (Fearca) and the National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA) signed a cooperation agreement, whose main objectives are to develop research projects on aerial applications of phytosanitary products.
According to the agreement, other topics to be worked on are aerial seeding, fire control, locust control with aircraft, helicopters and/or agricultural UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicles), organizing training activities, updating and training, such as courses, conferences and professional seminars.
In addition, the agreement will ensure the setting up of material and communication spaces aimed at technical personnel and the general public, training of human resources on topics of mutual interest and the exchange of information and experiences.
Ramiro Cid, from INTA Castelar, Jorgelina Montoya from INTA Anguil, Silvia Martens from the Agency of Tandil, and Danilo Cravero, executive director, and Juan Molina, member of the Council Executive from Fearca will coordinate the agreement.
After signing the document, Fernando Camarda, President of Fearca, said, "having a cooperation agreement with INTA is very important because agricultural aviation is part of the agri-food chain."
