Three technicals production licenses for Prothioconazole, Topramezone and Oligosaccharins, filed by China’s Jingbo Agrochemical Co., Ltd were approved, according to an announcement on the official website of the local government, between August 20 and 26.
Topramezone is a kind of triketone herbicide for a post-emergence foliar application, which has the advantage of being a broad herbicidal spectrum, of high activity and strong mixability, and is known to be safe for corn and after-reap crops. It is known as the “safest corn herbicide to date”. Till the date of publication for public opinion, 19 Topramezone products had been approved and remain effective, of which only one product is a technical material (BASF Europe).
Prothioconazole is a novel Triazolthion fungicide used to control diseases in cereals, wheat and legume. Till the date of publication for public opinion, five Rothioconazole products were approved and remain effective, including two technicals (Anhui Jiuyi Agriculture Co., Ltd and Shandong Hailir Chemical Co., Ltd), and three formulations which were registered for application to wheat only.
Oligosaccharins is a plant inducer, which can be either used alone or mixed to control a large variety of virus, bacteria, fungi and nematode diseases. Till the date of publication for public opinion, 91 Oligosaccharins products were approved and remain effective, including four technicals/technical concentrates (Hainan Zhengye Zhongnong High Tech Co., Ltd, Qingdao Zhongda Agricultural Science and Technology Co., Ltd, Weifang Huanuo Biotechnology Co., Ltd and Dalian Kaifei Chemical Co., Ltd) and 87 formulations for application to 25 crops.
