The European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) invites public consultation to decide if two active substances, propiconazole and hexaflumuron could be the candidates for substitution.
Propiconazole is a fungicide against wood rotting fungi, wood staining fungi, for timber (in as well as not in ground contact).
Hexaflumuron is used as a termiticide in ready-to-use baits and cellulose-based bait for protection of terrains (e.g. gardens, parks, fields, avenues and landscaping) and structures (e.g. houses, apartments, studios, mansions, chateaux, churches, restaurants, hotels, business premises, public and community buildings).
The consultations last for 60 days. The consultation on Propiconazole will close on September 6, and the consultation on Hexaflumuron will close on October 15.
