Mr. Kevin P. Smith, President and CEO of Arysta LifeScience SAS, together with David Habib (Member of the Parliament of France), the Mayors of Mourenx, Noguères, Orthez and other regional officials, today opened a new production line at the Noguères plant.
The ceremony was attended by Arysta LifeScience employees and all the partners who contributed to the successful launch of this new production tool. The regional officials were welcomed by Ronan Stephens, Head of Supply Chain Arysta LifeScience Europe Africa and Middle East and Hervé Calléja, Industrial Director Arysta LifeScience EAM.
Mr Kevin P. Smith, President and CEO of Arysta LifeScience SAS, explained that the new granulator will serve the European market. "This investment demonstrates once again that the Noguères plant is a strategic asset for Arysta LifeScience. We will soon be able to cater for 80% of our needs in Captan; an essential product to control diseases in orchards including apple scab; 25% of output is for the French market and 75% for export in particular bound for Poland, Germany and the Netherlands."
According to Mr. David Habib, Member of the French Parliament for the region, the design construction and implementation of the new tool called upon the industrial know-how mastered by Arysta LifeScience and its partners for more than a decade. "We are pleased that major firms of our region continue their investment locally in order to improve their productivity to maintain their competitiveness and a sustainable presence in our region."
"Thanks to our investment in this granulator, we will now be able to increase our production of Captan. This workshop complements the wide range of production lines that make our facilities flexible, reliable and efficient, while maintaining a high standard as far as health, safety and environment are concerned” said Hervé Calléja, the project leader.
Located in the southwest of France, the Noguères factory of Arysta LifeScience offers formulation, packing and distribution services in plant protection products for Europe, Africa and Middle-East for more than 20 years.
