A&L Biological Inc. (“A&L Biologicals”), a subsidiary of A&L Canada Laboratories Inc., has announced that Steve Warren will join the company to assume the role of Project Manager for the Aspire Food Group (“Aspire”) project to develop bio-based fertilizers.
Formed in 2008, A&L Biological Inc. has invested over a decade researching the soil microbiome and identifying microbial and viral-based isolates for both bio-stimulant and bio-control properties. A&L announced on February 18, 2021, the collaboration with Aspire to research and develop products from cricket frass, a by-product of the Aspire’s state-of-the-art cricket production and processing facility in London, Ontario. Frass contains a wide range of nutrients ‘in readily-available form' that are necessary for plant development and soil health.
Mr. Warren brings over 30 years of experience managing commercial R&D projects in fertilizer production for the agriculture and horticulture markets globally. Steve brings broad experience in operations and strong technical knowledge in the area of fertilizer product development. He has worked with and consulted for a wide range of companies on product development, sales, field trials, regulatory and product commercialization.
