On 7th May, 2021, the environmental impact assessment of the chemical intermediate and pesticide technical project (phase I) of Gansu Yinglong Biotech Co., Ltd. was publicized for the second time. The company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Chinese agrochemical company Jiangsu Good Harvest-Weien.
The project’s phase I will cover, annually, 4,000 tons of phenylhydrazine, 4,000 tons of P-chlorophenyluhydrazine hydrochloride, 68,000 tons of sodium sulfate, 5,000 tons of special nitriles (butyronitrile, isobutyronitrile and butylcyanide), and 4,000 tons of 1-(4-chlorophenyl)-3-hydroxy-1-h-pyrazole.
Good Harvest-Weien is planning the construction of a new production base for the chemical intermediates of pesticide technicals, which will be undertaken by Gansu Yinglong Biotech in the Yindong Industrial Park of Baiyin High-Tech Zone, Gansu Province. The total investment for the proposed project will be Yuan800 million.
The project is split over two phases for a construction period of four years. Phase I received an investment of Yuan300 million for the construction of arylhydrazine, special nitrile and chemical intermediate facilities, while phase II will receive an investment of Yuan500 million for the construction of pesticide technical and chemical intermediate facilities.
