In March 2021, Jiangsu Flag Chemical Industry Ltd. published its environmental impact assessment of ten expansion projects (Phase I) covering pesticide technicals and related products, including cyhalofop-butyl.
Previously, among Flagchem’s 5,500-ton pesticide production lines (Phase I) in the Nanjing Chemical Industrial Park, its novaluron, spiromesifen, imazamox, imazapic-ammonium and amicarbazone production lines were operational while environmental completion acceptance has been completed. The remaining technical production lines, including spirodiclofen, flonicamid, picoxystrobin, kresoxim-methyl, metolachlor, sulfentrazone and metamifop, were stopped.
To meet the market demand and enhance the company’s market competitiveness, Flagchem is planning to launch ten expansion projects (Phase I ) in the Nanjing Chemical Industry Park covering pesticide technical and related products, including cyhalofop-butyl, while mainly focusing on the production of three technical, penoxsulam (500-ton), clothianidin (2,200-ton) and cyhalofop-butyl (1,500-ton), as well as salts, such as lithium bromide, potassium chloride, potassium sulfate, sodium chloride and tetrahydrofuran solvent. It is also planning to upgrade its existing novaluron technical production process.
