Kline & Company announced this week the acquisition of the business of Prochaska & Company, a strategic advisor to companies in the agricultural, ag bio-tech, and specialty horticultural markets. This transaction will enhance Kline's Agricultural and Specialty Pesticides Practice with additional resources to provide clients with access to a broader range of agrochemical and specialty pesticides studies.
The well-accepted Prochaska reports will be marketed under the new Kline/Prochaska brand to help clients differentiate the two report styles. As part of the acquisition, Joseph Prochaska will join Kline's Specialty Pesticides Practice as a Project Manager, and bring his experience and established skills to work with the existing project team.
Joe Prochaska said, "I am pleased to be joining Kline & Company, where the tradition of careful research and commitment to accuracy cultivated by my father and me will be carried on. I look forward to continue providing an extraordinary service to clients in the industry under the Kline banner."
"We are bringing together two leading providers of agrochemical market intelligence to create an even stronger client offering based on decades of industry experience," said Dennis Fugate, Industry Manager for Kline's Agricultural and Specialty Pesticides Practice. "We are anxious to discuss with clients how we might use the combination of two different data collection methods towards their benefit."
Joe Tarantola, CEO of Kline & Company, notes that, "With our current growing practice in crop protection, we will be able to provide a team approach to the Kline/Prochaska reports that will result in enhanced value to our clients. We look forward to having Joe as part of our team."
In preparation for the completion of the acquisition, Kline and Prochaska teams have been working to ensure that the newly combined company continues to comply with the needs of existing customers and partners of both companies during the integration. As a result, Kline plans to continue existing Prochaska reports including: Crop Protection Manufacturers ReportTM, Generic Chemical Manufacturers in the U.S. Crop Protection IndustryTM, Leading Distributors in the U.S. Crop Protection IndustryTM, and the Specialty Fruit & Vegetable Market ReportTM. Additionally, discussions regarding the expansion of the current reports into new regions will take place.
While Kline, with over 50 years of market research experience in agrochemicals, will bring substantial expertise to the new venture, Prochaska will provide a proven methodology for developing and presenting industry and company crop protection data.
