Kimitec, a Spanish biotechnology multinational dedicated to the research, development and commercialization of biopesticides, biostimulants, prebiotics and probiotics for agriculture, will intensify its activities in Brazil.
Intending to double revenues in the country, the company is carrying out several actions to get even closer to rural producers.
Among Kimitec's initiatives, they highlight the intense testing and the expansion of its qualified team. The Spanish multinational currently carries out around 200 tests, in partnership with official bodies, consultants and large producers, in various crops (soybeans, corn, cotton, beans, cane, coffee, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, horticulture, grapes, apples, citrus fruits and melon), to understand the specific needs of each region and culture and offer adapted solutions.
Regarding the team, Kimitec invests in hiring professionals, with extensive experience in the Brazilian agricultural market, to work in the commercial, technical and agronomic areas.
According to Alejandro de las Casas Pérez, International CEO of Kimitec, Brazil is one of the largest agricultural markets in the world and a strategic country for Kimitec. “This is one of the most demanding and competitive markets in the world. With strategic partnerships and proven results in several crops, in Brazil we will intensify the commercialization of our innovative natural solutions,” he pointed out.
“With the constant mapping of the main nutritional needs of the crops and also of the behavior of pests and diseases, we will intensify the development of solutions adapted to the market and increase the quality, productivity and profitability of the crops,” he added.
Innovative DNA
Kimitec is a pioneer in the development of solutions that directly contribute to eliminating chemical pesticides and synthetic hormones from food production. The CEO explained that this context does not apply only to the development of natural solutions, but also to the manufacture of alternative products as effective as chemicals.
“Homogeneity and efficiency are the keys to this success. For more than 14 years, Kimitec has been proposing to have a strong presence in this segment, helping to preserve consumer health, intensifying respect for the environment and helping to increase the productivity and quality of crops,” Alejandro stated.
The Spanish multinational is present in more than 94 countries and has branches in the United States, Brazil and China. Over the years, Kimitec has strengthened its position in the market with established products, such as Bombardier and Batallón, Rhyzo, Prebiota Max and Xtender Row Ultra and Mycogel.
Research
Research and innovation are two of the fundamental pillars of the company. In 2019, Kimitec inaugurated the MAAVi Innovation Center, the largest center for research and development of natural solutions for agriculture in Europe and one of the largest centers of biotechnology applied to natural agriculture in the world.
Since 2013, Kimitec has invested more than €20 million in the research and development of its own projects and in collaboration with other centers and public entities.
