Recently, China’s Alxa Ecology and Environment Bureau released the environmental impact assessment report about the annual 5,000-ton 5-[2-(Ethylthio) propyl]-3-hydroxy-2-propionyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one project of Inner Mongolia Ligang Technology Co., Ltd.
The total investment in the project is Yuan180 million and it is located in the Alxa Tengri Economic and Technological Development Zone, covering a land area of 150mu (15 mu equals one hectare). The project scope includes two production workshops and supporting facilities. 5-[2-(Ethylthio) propyl]-3-hydroxy-2-propionyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one is the intermediate of Clethodim.
Upon completion of the project, the annual output of pesticide intermediates will encompass 5,000 tons of 5-[2-(Ethylthio) propyl]-3-hydroxy-2-propionyl-2-cyclohexen-1-one, as well as by-products of 3,680 tons of methanol, 1,800 tons of sodium acetate 1,300 tons of sodium sulfate.
The product portfolio of the Inner Mongolia Ligang Technology Co., Ltd covers fine chemicals including 2-Chloro-5-(chloromethyl) pyridine, N-(6-Chloro-N-[(6-chloro-3-pyridinyl) methyl]-N-cyclopropyl-3-pyridinemethanamine, chlorobenzaldehyde, p-chlorobenzyl chloride, o-chlorobenzyl, prothioconazole, topramezone and chlorantraniliprole.
The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Inner Mongolia Haitai Technology Co., Ltd founded in 2019, whilst Inner Mongolia Haitai Technology is a subsidiary of Jiangsu Sevencontinent Green Chemical Ltd.
