The biopesticide manufacturer PROMIP, in partnership with GenesisGroup, launched in Brazil the “MIP EXPERIENCE” Platform, for Integrated Pest Management.
The platform is a pioneering initiative that aims to provide crop protection through sustainable and economically viable innovative practices and technologies.
Marcelo Poletti, CEO of PROMIP, points out that the MIP EXPERIENCE platform is being built on the foundation of Integrated Pest Management with emphasis on the use of biodefensives and other tools with low environmental impact. The platform's objective is to train and enable farmers who wish to optimize their results through a differentiated production system, which meets the demands of consumers demanding food quality and safety.
“Retailers are looking for differentiated suppliers, and the seal obtained from joining the platform will be a strong standout credential for farmers who join the MIP EXPERIENCE,” Poletti stated.
As the area manager and creator of the platform, PROMIP will be responsible for coordinating the platform at the production site, offering technical support in the fields. A member of GenesisGroup, Paripassu, will provide technology solutions for traceability, automation of quality inspection and integration of laboratory information
“We are bringing technical knowledge closer to a correct, safe production process, with organized controls and records, the research and innovation base of the companies involved, to share practices for the delivery of healthy food. This means an integrated, respected environment, people, processes and products,” said Giampaolo Buso, director of PariPassu.
Another GenesisGroup company to integrate MIP EXPERIENCE is Agrosafety, which invests in laboratory analysis to validate food quality. “For us, it is very important to be part of this project, as the market and the consumer are more demanding and attentive to aspects of quality and food safety and this drives more efficient processes. AgroSafety will be extremely important in this process, as it uses the most modern analysis technology available and has the respect of companies and the scientific community,” said Adauto da Silva, Agrosafety's commercial director.
GenesisGroup will also use its certification service (Certify AGRO platform) to audit the area, CEO Nelson Bechara announced. “MIP EXPERIENCE has numerous benefits for the producer and the consumer, as it assesses the technologies available for the production and delivery of safe food, in addition to respecting socio-environmental issues. It is a project that creates value for agents in the supply chain. We will share with the market, tests on production processes that meet society's demand for safe food for consumption,” Bechara emphasized, stressing that this is a union of specialist companies working together to innovate and provide knowledge of the production chain
