BASF launches Priaxor in Argentina to tackle soybean diseases

BASF has launched, at a virtual event in Argentina, its new fungicide, Priaxor, a product which has characteristics that stand out. 

On the one hand, it is a last generation fungicide based on carboxamides that offers greater persistence in its action and more protection days, and on the other, it also seeks to be accessible to the producer.

Juan Pablo Migasso, BASF's soybean cultivation manager, reveals that Priaxor has robust control of diseases and offers greater persistence in control. After more than one campaign by BASF's technical team together with related consultants, a series of tests were conducted to prove the effectiveness of the product.

As a result, Migasso explained, “We had an answer of 364 kilos/ha in favor of Priaxor in comparison with the test of 187 Kilos/ha of Priaxor in comparison with the different fungicide treatments based on triazole + strobilurin.”

Gustavo Ariel Gregoret, producer in Bandera city in Santiago del Estero, indicated that the application of Priaxor in his field has shown very good results in the control of the purple spot and the black spot. "It is a very good fungicide product that has Carboxamide, which sets it apart from the rest of the products in this segment, so I recommend it." 

BASF stated that it seeks to help producers with new technologies for different segments, accessing more solutions with all available information so that they can enhance their production and soybean yields. 

“Priaxor is the most innovative in fungicidal technology and completes a portfolio of solutions that adapt to the different needs of the producer every day in his field,” Migasso said in conclusion.
