A microbiological fungicide composed of the microorganisms, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens (CPQBA 040-11DRM 01 + CPQBA 040-11RRM 04) and Trichoderma harzianum (CPQBA 040-11DRM 09), was registered in Brazil, under the trademark, SHOCKER.
The biopesticide was registered by Agrivalle Brasil, being formulated in wettable powder (WP), in conjunction with MFB AgrÃcola.
According to the recommendation approved by the Ministry of Agriculture of Brazil (MAPA), SHOCKER is indicated for use on any crop with the biological targets being Rhizoctonia solani and Sclerotinia sclerotiorum. The package insert provides instructions on recommended use on the seeds of beans and the foliar spraying on soybeans.
The product is the first registration that uses the two biological ingredients in its mixture, which improves the control of biological assets against pests, ensuring greater efficiency.
All products use active ingredients previously registered in the country. According to MAPA, the registration of generic pesticides is key to decreasing market concentration and increasing competition, resulting in fairer trade and lower production costs for Brazilian agriculture.
In 2020, 76 products, both biological and organic, were considered low impact, which is the largest number of product registrations in this profile in one year.
