The specialty chemicals company Nouryon has announced that it is entering the Brazilian agribusiness market.
The company, which works with solutions for several sectors, such as cellulose, mining, personal care, cleaning, polymers, civil construction, among others, sees in the farms a possibility of increasing growth.
“Chemical technology is used in everything, including farm activities. That is why we are attentive to the needs of agribusiness, seeking to develop solutions that help the production chain to be more efficient,” stated Gunther Zaremba, director of Performance Formulations at Nouryon for South America.
To mark its entry into the Brazilian agribusiness, the company presented its line of adjuvants that improve the application of pesticides through moistening, spreading, penetration and retention, and increase the effectiveness of pest control. It also launched additives that help stabilize the formulation, avoiding sedimentation or crystallization, for example.
“Adjuvants are essential compounds to guarantee productivity in crops. This is because this type of product allows the crop protection product, at the moment of spraying, to spread and have greater adhesion on the leaf surface, creating a kind of protective film. If the plant is more protected, the producer is less at risk of losses from pests and weeds. Besides, it provides better absorption of nutrients by the plant of nutrients that are present in the formulation being applied,” Zaremba explained.
According to him, Nouryon has a "broad portfolio of adjuvants, dispersants, emulsifiers, solvents, micronutrients and other solutions for the market, Nouryon's product lines have proven performance in bio-efficiency and yield."
The company recently launched Agrilan 1015, a biodegradable dispersant that can replace less sustainable products for water-based crop protection and seed treatment formulations. Agrilan 1015 is an alternative to dispersants available on the market, which have undergone, more and more, detailed examinations.
