On 9th October, 2020, the environmental impact assessment of the annual 13,600-ton highly-efficient and low-toxic pesticide technical, formulation and intermediate project, with an annual production of 1,500 tons for phase one, of Gansu Ruidong Chemical Co., Ltd. was made public on Lanzhou’s government website in China.
According to the assessment, the project has now been registered with the Lanzhou New Area Economic Development Bureau. The products under the project mainly include sulfonylurea herbicides and triazolopyrimidine sulfonamide herbicides, and the project will be implemented over three phases.
The environmental impact assessment covers only phase one, which includes the registration of 100 tons of tribenuron methyl, 300 tons of metsulfuron methyl, 200 tons of chlorimuron methyl, 300 tons of bensulfuron methyl, 200 tons of pyrazosulfuron-ethyl, 100 tons of thifensulfuron methyl, 50 tons of sulfometuron-methyl, 50 tons of halosulfuron-methyl, 150 tons of 1-methyl-4-ethylformate-5-pyrazole sulfonamide, and 200 tons of thidiazuron.
The project is located within the fine chemical industrial park in the Lanzhou New Area covering an area of 11 hectares. Phase one saw an investment of Yuan80 million.
