Supported by the knowledge of tropical agriculture specificities and in the purpose of reimagining solutions to increase productivity on the field, Ourofino Agrociência celebrates 10 years this month. Throughout its operating journey, the innovative and commercial DNA of the company has been key to its constant growth, shown in its registered results in 2019: BRL 87.3 million net profits which is 7.2% superior to the previous year. Now, the perspective is to bill 1.6 Billion.
The vice President of the company, Marcelo Abdo, claims that responsible management is an important factor in the history of Ourofino Agrociência, but the strategic partnerships celebrated with the Japanese ISK and Mitsui, in March 2019, represent a relevant point of differentiation. "The ascension derived from the union of two multinationals can already be felt, leading to synergy in many areas of the industrial chain and to the extension of our portfolio in the medium and long terms”, he explains.
Currently, the company counts on 38 products in the portfolio and it shall expand the options that are available in the market soon. Counting the new registrations from suppliers and raw materials, there are five new solutions suited for the sector and with the expected 10 new releases from the government at the end of 2020; other novelties shall reach the market briefly. The result will be the expansion of the company’s market share in various fronts.
Besides the entry in new operating fields, as coffee crops and citrus, a higher participation in the sugar cane and cereals markets as soybeans, corn and cotton is expected. One of the reasons for this increase, in soybean crops, for instance, is the start of the production of fungicides in the company, offering even more options to growers.

The innovative potential, which led to the denominated reimagined Products for the climate and needs of Brazilian soil, is the great bet for the coming years. To that end, besides the most modern equipment available in the market, the company counts on the support of universities all over the country and renowned research centers as Embrapa - Genetic Resources and Biotechnology and the funding institution for studies and projects - FINEP.
"We want to advance to a new phase of production, leave generics and bring in patented solutions. Thus, even developing products with molecules that are already known, we deliver differentials created by our team, allowing for important innovations aiming at higher productivity, sustainability on the field and cost savings for the grower”, claims Abdo.
Among some advantages of the reimagined Products are the adhesiveness of the formulations to the treated leaves, photo protection of crops and tolerance to rain, for instance. In order to do so, financial and human resources are invested in their research and creation based on tropical agriculture.
Norival Bonamichi, president and founding partner says, "Ourofino Agrociência will keep on contributing to Brazil's great engine, agribusiness, creating development, inclusion and generating sustainable opportunities to people".
