The Australian Pesticides and Veterinary Medicines Authority (APVMA) has before it an application for registration of a new product KENJA 400 SC FUNGICIDE (from Ishihara Sangyo Kaisha, Ltd), containing a new active constituent isofetamid.
The product is for the control of grey mould (Botrytis cinerea) in berries, low growing berries such as strawberries, cane berries including raspberries and bush berries including blueberries in protected and field cropping situations.
The APVMA is satisfied that the proposed use of KENJA 400 SC FUNGICIDE containing the active constituent isofetamid would not be an undue hazard to the safety of people, animals, plants or things or the environment.
The APVMA is also satisfied that data from trials supporting the efficacy of the product adequately demonstrate that if used according to the product label directions, the product is effective for its proposed uses.
