On 24th June, the environmental impact assessment documents for an annual 5,000-ton plant nutrient and 24,000-ton pesticide formulation upgrade project were published on the website of the Shenyang Research Institute of Chemical Industry (Nantong) Ltd.
In order to meet the market’s demand for pesticide formulations for the next five to eight years, the institute plans to invest Yuan100 million in the project, which will be constructed on the company's existing plant area within the Nantong Economic and Technological Development Zone.
The project will feature new production capacities of 2,350 tons of lambda-cyhalothrin 5%, 2,100 tons of tetrachlorantraniliprole 10%, 3,000 tons of SYP-9625 30%, and 1,000 tons of thiamethoxam 30%. Production lines that will be discontinued include the project’s 6,000-ton glyphosate 41% and 5,000-ton atrazine 50% lines.
