A commitment to excellence in product development and customer service has propelled Nichino America through ten highly successful years of providing growers the best in crop protection solutions.
The Delaware-based company that started with one product and six employees in 2001 is celebrating its ten-year anniversary on March 7, 2011 with an eye toward many more successful years ahead.
A wholly owned subsidiary of Nihon Nohyaku Co. Ltd., Nichino America can trace much of its success to its adherence to the same creed of excellence and ethics that has allowed its parent company to excel in Japan’s agrochemical industry for many decades.
Like its parent company, Nichino America strives to deliver the finest in crop protection products and superior customer service.
The 12 brands Nichino produces today for tree fruits, vegetables, cotton, potatoes, peanuts and other crops are recognized for their efficacy on target pests, ease of application and excellent fit with integrated-pest-management and resistance-management programs.
The history of Nichino America's parent company, Nihon Nohyaku, can be traced to the first agrochemical ever developed in Japan. Nihon Nohyaku, the recipient of many prestigious chemical technology awards, today remains an innovative leader in the Japanese agrochemical and pharmaceuticals industries.
A representative office of Nihon Nohyaku was established in New York in 1995. At the time, the company was licensing its chemistries to other agrochemical companies. The company later incorporated as Nichino America, Inc., relocated to Delaware, and in 2001 began formulating Nichino America products from chemistry developed in Japan. The U.S. office is designed primarily to develop, register, and market agrochemicals in North America.
Nichino America espouses to market and sell unique proprietary chemistry that has been extensively researched and tested; model product placement through best-use practices; and to create credibility with customers based on trust, knowledge, and superior customer service.
"Our ten years of success is attributed to being a research and technology driven company, offering customers proprietary products with novel chemistry,” says Jeff Johnson, president of Nichino America. “We pride ourselves on our laser sharp focus, targeting key crops in geographies where our products have the best fit for our customers’ needs. And we do this with a team of employees who possess a passionate spirit for achieving our goals.”
From a fledgling company with just six employees to a dynamic, innovative company that is making its mark in today’s crop protection arena, Nichino America offers growers a range of herbicides, insecticides, and fungicides that provide environmentally sound and highly efficacious pest control solutions.
And its commitment to customer service provides the perfect complement to the unique set of products available through Nichino America.
Nichino America, Inc. manufactures and sells several proprietary crop protection products known for their targeted performance, flexibility and ease of application, and fit with today’s environment. Among the company’s products are Applaud, Centaur, Courier, Portal, Tourismo and Vetica insecticides, ET and Venue herbicides, and Artisan and Convoy fungicides.
