Jinan Luba Pesticide plans to construct new annual 50,000-ton pesticide facility, covering glufosinate and chlorpyrifos formulations

On 10th June, 2020, an environmental impact assessment report on the annual 50,000-ton pesticide mixture project of the Shanghe Branch of China's Jinan Luba Pesticide Co., Ltd. was publicized on the company’s website for public review. Jinan Luba Pesticide is a subsidiary of the Chinese agrochemical company, Shandong Luba Chemical Co., Ltd.

To meet the company’s business development requirements, the branch is planning to invest Yuan334.01 million in the Shanghe Economic Development Zone, Shanghe County, Jinan City, to build a 50,000-ton pesticide mixture production facility. This brand-new project will cover an area of 70,944 m2, and is scheduled for a construction period of 15 months.

The project will have an annual production capacity of 16,300-tons of insecticides and 33,700-tons of herbicides covering 126 formulation products, including glufosinate 200 g/L AS (10,000 tons), glufosinate 50% WSG (4,500 tons), glufosinate 10% AS (4,000 tons), chlorpyrifos 45% EC (1,200 tons), and imidacloprid 5% EC (400 tons).
