Changqing plans build annual 13,700-ton pesticide technical production plant

In January 2020, the environmental impact assessment report (draft for comment) pertaining to the annual 13,700-ton pesticide technical and 8,500-ton chemicals production plant of China’s Changqing (Hubei) Biotechnology was published on the website for public opinion.
Changqing (Hubei) Biotechnology is an enterprise specializing in the production of pesticides, which was founded in July 2019, being a wholly-owned subsidiary of Jiangsu Changqing Agrochemical. In order to give full play to the company's technical advantage and to expand its market share, the company is planning an acquisition of 28 hectares of land in an industrial park, to build an annual 13,700-ton pesticide technical and 8,500-ton chemicals production plant, by spending Yuan1.5 billion.
The project is located at the Baiyang Industrial Park, Yichang High Tech Zone, Hubei Province. The project will include 12 production workshops and relevant auxiliary and pollution control facilities. Upon completion of the project and its full operation, the project will be able to annually produce 1,000 tons of bifenthrin, 2,000 tons of lambda-cyhalothrin, 2,000 tons of fomesafen, 500 tons of nicosulfuron, 1,600 tons of diafenthiuron, 600 tons of fipronil, 3,000 tons of thiamethoxamine, 1,500 tons of acetamiprid, 500 tons of fluazinam, 1,000 tons of chlorantraniliprole, 1,500 tons of benzofuranone raw powder, 5,000 tons of benzofuranone acetic anhydride solution and 2,000 tons of 2,6-diisopropylaniline.
