Paraguay extends agchem approval expiry until end of May

The Senave (National Service for Plant and Seed Quality and Health) of Paraguay said it is extending the expiration of all the registrations granted by the institution until May 30, 2020. The measure was announced in response to the impossibility to follow up on normal procedures during the coronavirus pandemic.

“The new expiration term was established by resolution No. 180/2020 within the framework of the preventive measures promoted by the National Government, in the face of the expansion of COVID-19 set forth in Decree No. 3442/2020, in order to avoid mass displacement and the crowding of people,” said Senave.

The Paraguayan government is determined “to extend or suspend the terms of administrative processes or of any nature in which a period of time has been determined for the fulfillment of an obligation, in accordance with the services provided, and the pertinent administrative act must be issued as appropriate”.

The Technical Directorate-General and the Directorate-General for Administration and Finance of Paraguay are responsible for compliance with the resolution, which was signed by agronomist Rodrigo González, president of Senave.
